Power
What is power? Is it a dirty word for you? Is it something you are resistant to? If you are then how does this impact on your ability to lead? Well here’s the thing – if you don’t like the word power then you may just be giving away all of yours! Yes! There are different types and levels of power but we all have personal power. Sometimes that personal power is extended by being in a leadership position or position of authority.

the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way.“the power of speech”
synonyms: ability, capacity, capability, potential, potentiality, faculty, property, competence, competency “my mother suffered a stroke and lost the power of speech”2. the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events.“a political process that offers people power over their own lives”
Power to, over, within are all dimensions of power and operate in every scale, in the household, workplace, community, local authority and corporations. Power can be personal, professional, institutional and global and yes it can be misused and there are several examples in history and current affairs that attest to that. However are you aware of your personal power and sphere of influence?
Hmm, as someone who has always felt powerless, I’m interested in becoming aware of my personal power, whatever it may be…

Your personal power was very much expressed in your post ‘Who are You?’ As for Fix up or F**k off – love it! It takes courage to exercise personal power and turn your back on things when they show themselves to be not in your interest – especially when you have almost become welded to the experience/environment.
